I'm proud that I built consistency with my health habits. I used to struggle with brushing my teeth at night, but since July last year I've been consistent, which has really helped me in my dental health. About 6 months ago, I also started jotting down three things I'm grateful about for every day at night. Now these two habits have become my day shutdown rituals.
Programming is dramatically accelerated with AI, making code implementations cheap and fast. However software engineering still depends on us for problem definition, system designs, debugging, etc.
Profession isn't disappearing, developers just spend less time typing and more time thinking and deciding.
Yes I'm tired of it and I've been only active for last 2 months but I can't stop using it just yet.
Here is why: I'm developer for 7+ years. I was never active on any of the social media platforms. I recently released my tool. I was doing research on how can I increase my reach to the audience. Most of the results I found were about engaging with audience on the platforms like reddit, twitter/X, etc. As a novice, I started doing as it was suggested to me. I showcased my tool and started trying to engage with audience. My approach might have been wrong as I didn't get any results from it instead I started wasting my time on these platforms with infinite scroll. There is no end to it. But I started reducing my time on social media.
For me I feel its a long way to go as I'm still figuring out things on my own. Once I figure things out that might be the time I stop using it.
My plan is simple: learn the tools, but double down on fundamentals—systems thinking, testing, and owning outcomes.
