having a nominal charge would probably lead to less abuse of the system, and any contribution to the upkeep/maintenance would be welcome, I'd imagine

is it like a sunk cost issue? 'cos AAA computer games seem to have that issue

can someone explain this bit to me:

Break the wall

Whose wall?

Count the total counter-clockwise starting from the dealer (East = 1).

東 East 1 · 5 · 9

南 South 2 · 6 · 10

西 West 3 · 7 · 11

北 North 4 · 8 · 12

East -> South -> West -> North - is that not clockwise? What am I missing?

I've been using wezterm on windows for a while and still not managed to work out how to close a split pane. Is this a bug?

Well, no - not if everyone's raving on about how great the code is. Code quality is objective, not dependant on experience.

I don't get to write crap code at my work if I'm inexperienced, I have to learn to write good code.

Theoretically, do you think CloudFlare would hire Xah Lee?

I'm inclined towards this thinking also.

Not learning crucial skills is just lazy and self-centred.

I've met amazing devs with no social skills because they didn't want to put effort into learning anything except what they enjoyed.

The world doesn't owe you anything - it's up to yourself to do your best to acquire what you want. You don't get what you want just because in your own opinion, you deem yourself to be deserving of it.
