What the US needs is more available and unregulated and unrestricted funding for startups and not what currently exists which is a huge un-American moat blocking any new businesses in the tech space.
When an organization reaches a certain level of wealth they become what amounts to as lawyers. Placing money in areas that demonstrate their understanding of the situation even if it may result in potential losses strengthens their brand and reputation.

I dont mind iphones but with how they lock down their devices and do things like prevent you from removing keyword suggestions so when your keyboard starts harassing you, you are out of luck.and the edges are so sharp and uncomfortable to hold.

Yeah I've basically refused to ever have kid's because I cant imagine them growing up knowingly becoming slaves. As a parent I'd basically expected CPS to be called on me for having kid's in this environment.

You have no idea how unbelievably annoying it is to work in a company that doesn't a well defined architecture. Every "buzz word" service should be easily justified.
This is why I hate recruiters, I can't even tell you how many times I've had a recruiter call me saying they are looking for service XYZ. The same concept rephrased in my resume. I have to rewrite my resume just to satisfy these people? No thanks.
