Playing Mozart can help you focus on something other than music. Skyrim isn't a good background enhancer for a different foreground task, at least for most people, presumably.
Only tangentially related, but I have heard the urban legend that game OSTs are by design meant to get you to be more focused at the other task at hand (usually gameplay). I wonder if it could actually increase your focus if you had the music playing in the background.
