As an environmentalist in my personal life I REALLY wish we would stop letting the rich pollute 10,000 times more than regular people. Just one more reason to hate rich people.
In aggregate increasing wealth increases care for the environment.
Because it causes more damage which makes it a more pressing issue
kinda ignorant imo. this isn't blue origin - spacex is trying to save the species. not to mention all of the innovations made from space exploration like gps and the computer mouse. spacex's endeavors is already enabling people to have internet in remote areas

we should thank Elon for all his beautiful offsprings, the fireworks and ... the people who are dying because he destroyed USAid I guess?

Except for all the inconvenient parts, like non-white, LGBTQ or anyone else Elon doesn't like at the moment (including on of his own spawn).

tesla got 100/100 like 6 years in a row for LGBTQ equality, and spacex has trouble hiring people with visas because of its government related work

I can't believe there's people who actually believe this.

If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.

Or a tunnel, amirite?
Like previous explosions, it is likely this one was also caused by a sniper. Possibly an Iranian one, given current geopolitical tensions.
Perhaps someone didn't want Nazis on the moon.
Perhaps there is a financial function where the cost of a rocket is less than the stick bump on the next success?
> SpaceX has made excellent progress with its Starship rocket. The stainless steel vehicle can now explode before even leaving the Earth.
Honest question as I don't often read the theregister.com: is such sarcasm/bias typical?
UPDATE: I guess had I actually gone to the homepage and looked around it would have answered my question.

I think you might be hard pressed to find a Reg article that doesn’t take this tone.
Yes, it's dry sarcasm in the finest English print tradition.
That is pretty much its entire purpose.
Yes. But the British have a special hate on for all things Elon Musk, going back to at least the early Tesla Roadster days.
