I just don't think it is a real issue.

It is much easier to have it from renewable sources as your DC doesn't move and the CO2 to social benefit is so huge.

Imagine giving up all mass CO2 producers, alone transport of people and goods but still being connected to everyone and sharing knowledge and learning etc.

I would like to see addicting things like reddit having office hours but being able to shop at night for something I need (like a new pair of pants after the ol d one ripped) is saving tons of CO2.

Noone in my family has a NAS.

I have one but I work in it.

No normal person thinks about backups.

Most normal people just pay 10$ to get cloud storage.

Even I do because it is so much better than what I want to operate. My NAS has backups of those.

Nvme prices are so low now, I have already over 2tb of them in my system.

For me honestly that just solved the 'storage problem'.

But CPU! Ha Ms teams and chrome still brings down my system.

My goal when I reach this hopefully before 60 or so:

Buying a farm, building a nice private park, building Rome style bath, japanese onsen and having space for family and friends so they would like to visit me because it's very nice.

But sure you need the interest in wanting to design and build your own house, park, pool etc.

As far as I know this is calculated into climate change models.

So I'm curious based on what study you assume plants will flourish unlimited to compensate all additional CO2.

The IPCC report analysis increase risks with more CO2. Shouldn't the risk go down if plants would just compensate it?

And apparently the Amazonas as a whole org is now no longer consuming CO2 and is a net negative.
