This is demonstrably false to anyone with one of these devices. I can page over to my podcast app that I used days ago and find it is exactly where I left it.
Historically the surfboard has been the go to option for Comcast. I can’t say what the current best option is, but if you purchased your own modem in the previous decade chances are you bought a surfboard. IIRC Comcast has a page of third party modems that are compatible.
I may be wrong, but I believe this is how the subreddit already works. They set a total amount of crypto to be released, and it goes in proportion to the total number of upvotes you receive in comparison to others in a given time window. I think the approaches are largely identical with the exception of the crypto vs direct fiat.
It absolutely will. I had toyed with the idea of something like this before, but wasn’t sure what the behavior would look like until I found the cryptocurrency subreddit.
They have a system that rewards a monthly crypto amount based on the number of upvotes you received that surprisingly has an actual value that you can sell for. It’s largely led to a race to the bottom where comments and posts largely ignore any long form discussions or accuracy in favor of majority appeal.
I’m currently running a VM with a GPU passed through and moonlight on my Mac for gaming. It’s really nice, my old MPB isn’t doing any real work so it easily lasts for hours if on battery, and the VM doesn’t eat up all the resources on my server so I’m free to do whatever I want to with everything else.
My only real issue is I occasionally get slowdowns while playing which causes things to stutter. This is most like partly to blame on using WiFi for the Mac and partly to blame on using only a single port NIC for the server.
