It started with no one complaining when it started modifying and cancelling posts related to vaccines and in general COVID-19 to align narration to official news. Let's say it was done with good intentions. Then you have to fix everything... like 1984...who controls the Past , they rule the Future. Fortunately it is Meta, let's stop using and checking it when you discover it is not reliable enough.

During the cold war the Soviet Union needed buffer States. Are we now, 70 years later, having the Soviet Union again? I thought it dissolved in the '90, exactly when the Austrian and Hungarian PM cut the barbed wire between their Countries. Hungary was NEVER part of the SU. In fact Austria risked the same fate of Hungary: after 10 years of Allied occupation they were willing to sign ANYTHING to get rid of foreign armed forces, they accepted VOLUNTARILY to be a neutral State. The same thing someone asks Ukraine to do today. History repeats.

On November 1st 1956 the Hungarian people declared the country neutrality following the austrian model, hoping on UN help that never materialized, the Security Council met in NY on November 2nd without deciding anything. On November 3rd 1956 the Soviet Red Army occupied Hungary, destroying the peaceful aspiration of Hungary, to simply be a neutral country and live its own life. Maybe this is the answer... Maybe in Ukraine they remember Hungary... Maybe we forgot...or not

What about stopping everybody from doing such dangerous experiments? Today we don't test anymore nuclear bombs by detonating them, we run extensive computer simulations that had the welcomed side effect of pushing the boundaries of HPC. I am sure that there are lots of technicals hurdles to overcome before being able to accurately simulate effect of pathogens, but we learned a lot about viruses during this pandemic because we had a real push to learn. Did we really need a pandemic to be able to investigate biological phenomena that we could have been studied without putting everything at risk? I have no explanation for a bio-research lab that is unable to get rid of deadly pathogens in its own research.
