Phones and watches do that with LTPO OLED which I don't believe exists at higher screen sizes although I'm not sure why. This is supposed to be special because it isn't OLED so should be able to get brighter and not have to worry about burn in.

A 2080 is about the same performance as a 5060 and every game is going to be able to run on a 5060. You might not be running it at 4K Ultra with ray tracing enabled but you should be able to run at like 1080p High or better.

Whether or not the M5 GPU is actually capable of that level of performance or whether the drivers will let it reach its potential is of course a completely different story. GPU performance is hard to estimate based on raw specs, you just have to run benchmarks and see what you end up with.

I believe it's legal because rear doors have child safety locks so often can't be opened from the inside anyway. Although that doesn't cover opening it from the outside...

One factor is that a part of their measurement is tracking how many new companies are founded and estimating how many employees a new company is likely to have. These numbers have been trending down and rapidly fell due to a lot of new companies being one person LLCs for gig economy work. It appears they haven't kept up with this trend so they overestimate how many jobs these companies will have.

TikTok is paying their ISP, that's who you'd look at to fund upgrades to the interconnect. Wanting to charge TikTok or the users of TikTok is just looking for a way to double dip. Or, more likely, a way for them to deprioritize YouTube TV so their own streaming live TV service looks better.

If that's true they've already been wrong in recent history. The US changed when they do DST in 2007 and I believe other countries have moved it around recently as well. If you're dealing with timezones (which DST is) you either need the ability to do frequent updates or you need to stop dealing with timezones.

Having it be a tuple would require variadic generics, wouldn't it?

Not just Angular, TypeORM and NestJS and a bunch of other server frameworks written in TypeScript make heavy use of decorators. The JavaScript spec for them has been rewritten twice since what TypeScript has so there is going to be a lot of trouble.

I think this could occur on any CPU that doesn't have a separate TLB for kernel mode and has speculative execution. So far it looks like it only occurs on Intel's CPUs but I don't think that has anything to do with RISC vs CISC. I believe Linux was at least looking at applying this change to arm64 as well and this is likely going to lead to a design change in RISC-V to avoid having issues like this so it can happen to RISC designs as well.

The x86-64 chip in question is AMD's Jaguar design which was meant to be used in tablets. The only reason the consoles had more power than you'd get in a tablet at launch is because they had 8 cores at high clock speeds while an actual tablet using Jaguar would presumably only have 2. It's been a few years and the ARM64 designs are pretty impressive so if this is a quad core part or better it should be competitive.
