People dying of starvation and homelessness doesn't matter to many people but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a negative impact on society or shouldn't be solved
How many of those companies business models relies on getting you hooked so they can continue to perform mass surveillance and being careless with the personal info of users and non-users alike?
As usual the Facebookers are coming out in mass to defend their cash cow, despite it's major negative impact on society. Par for the course on this site
I have near 0 trust in the major tech companies (Facebook/Google/Apple/etc.) but amazingly I trust the US government even less. I have absolutely no faith that the US government discovered and solved the salary issues in those companies in any meaningful way
Don't buy a new mid-sized jet then...? You can certainly afford a small, used private jet if you have $100 million. Not to mention a lot of people that own private jets rent/lease them out, just like they do with yachts, which can help to offset a lot of the recurring costs. I know a guy that owns a relatively small business and he has a modest private jet (as modest as you can get while owning a jet) and he certainly doesn't have 100mm. Aviation is one of his hobbies, which likely plays into his decision, but it is feasible
The Netflix library is awful, and continues to get worse and more limited. There are multiple channels I follow that I get more watch time and utility out of than Netflix
I knew this crazy kid in college who purchased pure methamphetamine off the dark web to use as a study aid. He is currently pursuing his doctorate at one of the best medical schools in the world
You must be using some awful services because my experience has been that piracy, and pirate streaming services, are better, easier, and more available than ever
>I know analysing social interactions is seen as a rather, if you will forgive the term, "autistic"
That may be your perception of autism, but this statement is more akin to using "retarded" derogatorily than actually making a comparison. Autism is categorized by deficits in social interaction and repetitive thoughts or behaviorism. "Analyzing social interactions" is certainly not a standard symptom of autism, and depending on the severity of one's social deficit it may not even be possible for someone on the spectrum to do so without the help of a therapist/doctor/behavioral aid. I discovered I was on the spectrum this year, albeit at a relatively low level, and while I personally analyze social interactions a lot due to anxiety it absolutely shouldn't be seen as "rather autistic" as you say as that is a mischaracterization of autism
