Exactly what I was looking for to code at my public library, which provides macs but no permissions to install software.
I haven't run into any issues so far, except for the obvious permissions issues which were easy to fix. Extensions all install. I'm sure I'll have more to say about it as I use it more heavily.
I've used Oracle PL/SQL and PL/pgSQL pretty extensively, as well as TSQL (MS equivalent). Mostly for HR, Finance and trading systems.
Overall positive, but like many languages, it's easy to misuse and can quickly become unwieldy.
DBMSs don't really have much support for arranging objects. In Oracle, you have packages, but overall it's up to you to maintain and document why certain objects exists.
