I think average familiy could do better at financing so that they can affort to plan for 1 month or more on groceries. For me, it's not about rich, it's about planning, I must know exactly what I need before I go there. It save time and but stability, I have at least 1 month buffer on common goods shortage.

I will clarify, at the same price, the MacBook is good at: display, instant performance and battery life, trackpad, webcam, sound and microphones, build quality.

My workload: web development, video call, running VM.

I basically could not find any laptop comaprable in those aspect AT THE SAME PRICE.

I use MacBook anyway, this project brings open platform to my MacBook, I'm happy with that. I guess many people have the same situation like me. I don't use other laptop because their hardwares aren't comparable to MacBook.

I was misunderstood you if you intend to write code by hand, I still did, I use AI to learn by example, but I write the real code myself, AI can help me improve the code. I learned a lot.

They could rely on some relays to build their AppViews. The flexibility is already there.

We could develop an all in one stack that handle relay, AppView and iOS / Andriod / Web apps to serve small communities and have the Mastodon instance vibe, except one identity could appear on different instances at the same time. It doesn't exist yet, but it's possible.

Yeah, I have the same understanding. On Mastodon, an instance is an all on one package. On Bluesky, each component can be deployed separately. The nuance is Bluesky PBC own the Bluesky (iOS, Android, Web) apps, the AppView and the default PDS hosting, I could say it's centralized by default and decentralized at will.
