3D Slicer - http://www.slicer.org/ - gives you detailed 3D models for the brain generated from CT scans. You can use it to reconstruct other organs as well.
I think this happens because it is increasingly difficult to accumulate all the knowledge necessary to make you a specialist in your field (and to give you the opportunity to discover new things) until the age of 30.
In the late 90s and early 2000s operating systems were compared with airlines, in a humorous manner: http://www.webaugur.com/bazaar/53-what-if-operating-systems-.... Now it seems that the comparisons have become more serious than that. I'm using Unix/Linux every day, and I don't feel like I'm living in a monastery.
