I just want to chime in. “Basically nobody” is not nobody. Usually when people speak about these tax rates they are looking at too 1% tax receipts but the ultra wealthy .01% certainly got a payday with Reagan subsequent tax cuts have benefited them tremendously. https://economicsinsider.com/us-wealth-inequality-1965-2025/ has a nice graph. The paydays for the extremely wealthy do not tend to pop up on reports because we do not report down to that level - most top out at too 1% or .1%. But those with the most money and ability to influence our lives with it having been having a //great// few decades.
This brought up an inadvertent benchmark I accidentally made between the big three AIs. I had them all research an old BBS i used to use, hunting for a DOOR game i played on it. I gave details about the bbs that i could remember and a pretty well defined description of the game and threw it at the deep researchers to see what they could fine.
ChatGPT gave me about a ten page report on who ran the bbs and the name of the game. When I looked into it the game was totally different and the guy named had nothing to do with the bbs. “Since these were both popular items at the time, I just inferred.” But it had fabricated the entire report. Nothing in it was true.
Gemini did the same thing but the report was about twenty pages. 100% hallucinated.
Just a quick note that native windows extract is 32bit and dies on archives gt 4gb. Use 7zip or something to extract in case you happen to be using that one.
Of course we do, we were doing them until about the mid-70s and then the ultra-wealthy figured out how to game the system and we got “Greed is Good” Geckos running things since.
It’s pretty good at catching when performance is degraded. It was for a week or so before Fable launched for instance, probably due to a/b testing or capacity as you noted.
