Just as an FYI, the designer of the Minority Report UI/UX created a company (http://www.oblong.com) and actually built the system. Boeing (my former company) actually has a patent using the system to control a swarm of UAVs.
First, not all of the choices will work for each person. Its a bit of a science experiment so don't get discouraged if the first medication you try doesn't work very well. I also recommend that you ask to try a set of them to determine what is the most effective for you. I have taken them all until I found the one that worked the best for me. Starting with Adderall, then Ritalin, and finally Vyvanse. At this point I take one 70mg Vyvanse capsule a day. While Adderall and Vyvanse are quite similar, the major difference is that Vyvanse is not a stimulant until it is metabolized by the liver. For me this results in a smoother transition on and off, with the duration lasting 10 hours or so. Adderall didn't last nearly as long (8 hours or less) and I became a bit of a jerk as it wore off. (They don't call it "Madderall" for nothing).
I want to emphasize though that none of these medications will cure you. If you want to see the biggest change, then combine the medication, exercise, quality sleep, and a good diet. Last, learn all that you can about ADHD, how it effects your relationships with others (you would be surprised), along with how other people with ADHD go about getting things done in spite of the disorder.

I wish I could upvote this comment more. On a front-end client client for a US CBP command and control system, I had to design and implement both a day and night mode. The operators loved the night mode so much they ran it during the day too.. they called it sexy mode. It was the first time I saw how excited and fun they were having because they just felt cool using the system. The experience had a huge impact on me.
I've only been using 10.9 for a few hours but I have already noticed that some of the unnecessary decoration was removed. Notepad, the notification sidebar, launcher, widgets screen, etc have been toned down.
I actually had a discussion with my doctor on this very subject. He was complaining that he could not actually advertise prices as it is apparently considered price fixing if doctors do that (or so he says). He also told me he would be stupid not to bill the highest possible price he could for things because he doesn't know exactly what the insurance companies will accept and he could be leaving money on the table otherwise. So don't try to distinguish between specialists and GP's, they all do it.

This is a self inflicted wound that they are refusing to accept responsibility for. While I am against domestic data collection without cause period, when it happens there should be informed consent, not blind trust that they won't abuse the privilege. Furthermore, the handling of any of this data, whether domestic or foreign by defense/security contractors should be banned. Add any other entity that would have an economic incentive to secretly abuse said access to that information to the list.
I personally have been waiting for the chance to play with Oblong's g-speak ever sense I learned about it while at Boeing. It will be fun to see what the developer community at large does with it.
If you look at the other twitpic photos, you will see one talking about "BoomGraph". I have never heard of it, but it seems to sit on top of Raphael and produces these charts.

I think that statement right there is why degrees are still valuable. To earn your degree you will have to study subjects that an independent learner would not likely study on their own.

So very true. At the company (very large defense contractor) we have to ask the same questions to every applicant. We can't ask follow on questions or deviate from the pre-defined question list. It was deemed legally unfair to ask different applicants different questions. That makes it harder and harder to distinguish the good from the bad.
Actually if you read his post from a day ago, you will see him state he stopped the open access point. He took steps to stop what he thought was the issue. It was not until the cap was broken a second time that he realized it was his backup system uploading to a 3rd party service.
That is not entitlement at all. If anything it was ignorance of the fact that your upload data is also measured against the cap.
I agree with him about going to the FCC. The fact that he has no where to turn to purchase a competing service means that Comcast can dictate peoples internet usage behavior. My question would be is does the 250g data cap apply when they are watching TV/Movies online via Comcast (XFinity) provided services?
Well since he just bet the company on WP7 you can't expect him to say anything else. If MeeGo is going somewhere then that undermines his MS deal. That said, It appears that there are two factions in Nokia. One pushing MeeGo and one pushing WP7. And like I said in an earlier comment, this "leak" reeks of damage control btw pro WP7 camp.
I thought the same thing. It would be a huge slap in the face if the N9 turns out to be very popular. This leak feels like "damage control". Which seems silly, there is no reason you can't release phones with WP7 and MeeGo.
The release of the N9 and demo videos really brings Elop and Co's statements about the emperor having no clothes with regards to MeeGo into question. Looking back that appears to be negative marketing to justify the ms partnership.
As a commercial license holder with 7 years experience that would make my day. However, we should approach this a bit differently. The question should not be will Nokia's first wp7 phone run qt apps. It should be will we be able to develop wp7 apps using Qt technologies. I am specifically speaking of QML. Qt has been using web style technologies for a while. I use CSS to style my c++ apps for example. QML is basically what amounts to javascript and a json like syntax sitting on top of a c++ runtime. With that in mind, it should not be that difficult for them to allow QtCreator to target, Symbian, MeeGo, traditional apps with QDeclaritiveView, a new Windows 8 runtime and a new WP7 runtime.
It would be huge if Nokia was able to leverage the existing Qt developer base for there new wp7 phones. Personally, I am way more excited about the N9 running MeeGo than any of the future wp7 devices. However that could change based on the developer tools available. A Dev stack that runs on linux, osx and windows that I already know and use (QtCreator, QMake etc) would be huge.
In my case, my business partner was my college roommate. We also have made a lot of contacts through school that continue to benefit us. Your classes are not the only thing about school that will help you in the future. Like I said in a previous post, college is what you make of it.
At the end of the day, College is what you make of it. No one can force you to really get involved, participate in team projects etc. You have to have the internal drive to make the most of your opportunity.
It is also getting annoying to see another article by someone not going to school writing about why its a waste of time. How does he know? If he graduated and then noticed that nothing he learned applied or helped him in anyway, then he could say its a waste of time. In the authors case, he is getting paid not to go to school. Moreover, all schools are not created equal. Some are better at exposing you to team projects, cross discipline assignments, understanding "why" and not just the "how".
