You're mixing up two different things. Moving electricity with HVDC is easy and cheap... building the grid infrastructure is, well, not so easy or cheap.
The system cost depends on connection queues, transmission buildout, substations, transformers, planning permission, curtailment, etc.
Production of transformers, cables, and labour capacity are bottlenecks. Planning is a bottleneck.
Only if what those people want is something I agree with otherwise I think the state holds the monopoly on violence and we need to mobilize it against the wrong thinker.
Side note, UK police harass people for 'non-crime hate incidents' and put people on terror lists for being critical of protected ideologies.

Edit: NHS waitlists are double digit months to years. You have one of the worst birthing outcomes in the OECD. You have relatively poor cancer treatment outcomes
