You're supposed to check the digital signature after downloading the install image. Other than that, it's the same as Linux. Windows has a lot of "unknown stuff too", but you can actually research the source code for OpenBSD if you're worried.
As much as I love science fiction. In reality, even making it the nearest star is an impossible feat. Even traveling at the speed of light (which we are not even sure the human body can handle) it would take 100 years to reach our nearest star; let alone the nearest black hole. Even whether black holes exist, and what they really are is hotly debated. I think the idea of interstellar travel is futile, and we should focus on improving our quality of life here (free energy i.e. Telsa tech, transporting goods with electrogravitic vehicles, curing diseases, more scientific agricultural practices, easing access to education/job skills, etc).
Kind of narrow minded and outdated to believe that legal liquor is less harmful that illegal marijuana plant. Not to mention all the health benefits. This truly is a legacy of the past racist American "reefer madness" mentality of stoned jazz musicians "mixing" with white women. The horror. In the state of Idaho, marijuana is illegal, yet heroin overdoses are so bad cops have to carry an epi pen.
I have to wholly disagree with this. A meritocracy is extremely important in the software development community. (especially in Open Source). If sub-par code were accepted out of the spirit of "acceptance" and "diversity", then the project would be seriously affected (this does happen still). People wouldn't tolerate that mentality when engineering bridges or building automobiles.
King Solomon of Judea predates this guy by thousands of years and was well known to be the richest King that ever lived. He had 100s of wives including an Ethiopian princess.
I honestly don't see what this has to do with vaccination? The title has a bias written right into it. I grew up in the South (U.S.) and it is culturally normal in some rural areas for kids to run around bare footed. Don't curl your lip at it, it's a normal thing for some boys. I did too, and I made of mistake of stepping on a rusty nail in a board once. I had to go to the doctor and get a tetanus shot. You get the shot after stepping on a nail. Not before it.
The videos are quite old though, Nov 2017. There's more up-to-date python tutorials out there. I'm always nervous about vesting time into learning from old tutorials because the information could be outdated.
Modern PC gaming in Windows is a giant money pit. 2000+ for a machine, 100+ a month for broadband, and even more for the games, services. Then the people that I meet that do this are hardly ever satisfied with their games and are constantly dropping money on the next release. Seem's like a waste of time and money to me. I have more fun playing open source games for free personally.
Misleading title, I thought we has writing his book on an ancient AT&T UNIX mainframe. He's using Linux or MacOS, bfd. Why do people throw around the word Unix to describe Linux is beyond me. MacOS claims it's Unix too, they payed some organization to get them a Unix cert, but we all know it's BSD/Mach/Darwin rewrite. Nobody is really using the original Unix.
Reading these comments makes me so happy to be a Linux/BSD user. The hoops you guys have to jump through in proprietary land. Wow, pay $$$ to be treated like shit. It's kinda like those guys that hire a dominatrix to belittle them and make them lick her heel, yet they get off on it.
Anybody that's been in a relationship for a period of time knows that it's true. Women will tell you that all us men are stupid lmao, and we'll say they overreact to everything. As the world keeps turning.
Look, some misguided individuals seem to hate Chromium because they think it doesn't respect their privacy or out of abject hatred for Google. But a lot are not actually looking from an engineering point of view. Browser's are the 1# security risk on any computer system due their complexity and access to the outside world. Chromium was the first (and mabye only) web browser that was designed from the ground up with privsep in mind. Firefox on the other hand did not have privsep for a long time, it was only implemented later after the fact. Not only that, Chromium now supports unveil, and new security innovation that blocks the browser's access to all files folders on the system except for what specified in settings.
