Yeah but that's not tech, the positive are just result from legal loop holes. I would say though that Taxi companies now have proper app because Uber forces them to catch up with the tech. Calling taxi in the pre-Uber era was literally hell.
Not sure how your family is using it. But I find that a laptop using as a desktop has a much longer lifespan than a laptop using as intended ( a traveling work station ). Things like moisture, accidental drops, keyboard issue is much more common.
It is easier to process a single type trash. Home trash is where burning get pretty expensive because people put all sort of stuffs in there. And I am sure the energy is net negative to.
The main issue of trash has always been separation.
Well this is actually happening in Japanese Animation and the result is that no young talents are getting trained in the workforce. [1]
But unlike animation, where the demand for the art can just disappear. I don't think the demand for software engineer will disappear. Same thing with musician. Young engineers might just be jobless or on training mode for much longer period of time before they can make actual living money.
Good thing is, as far as I know, Kyoto Animation managed to avoid this issue by having in-house training, growing their own talent pools.
