For the most part the marketers I'm connected to on Facebook have been respectful of my attention and have limited their messages to channels I've opted in to.
The only thing I've been subjected to that I don't like (though is probably borderline acceptable) is frequent reposting of items. Nothing like having the same link shoved down your throat 10 times a day.
I was in the same boat as you not too long ago and while I haven't found my undergrad. experience to be a particularly enlightening one, it has had value.
Also, a bachelor's of some sort is almost a universal prereq. for a decent job. While you may be able to convince a hiring manager your skills are solid and that you're worth hiring, they're going to be talking to those who meet their requirements first so you may never get that chance.
Rather than drop out, why not take a heavier course load and finish sooner?
My first thought while playing with it during class was that it'd make a great replacement for Basecamp's crappy Writeboard feature.
I was also thinking that instead of unnamed, you could build a list of celebrity names that are used until the user changes it (which should be pretty quick if you wind up with something like Danny Glover or Hans Blix). If not, at least you'd have a way to distinguish between people.
Does it really matter where you incorporate any more?
From what I understand (which may be wrong), most companies that incorporate as Delaware corporations, do so in part because DE has a solid business law system in place.
At the top of the complaint it shows that both defendants are incorporated in Delaware, yet whoever filed the complaint tried (and succeeded) in making a case for whatever goes down to take place in IL. Is that even reasonable?
While I'm sure it won't hurt TC or Loopt to take a road trip, if another startup wound up in a similar bind, I can definitely see the cost of fighting an out-of-state battle putting them over a barrel.
I'm the complete opposite. If I think a job looks interesting and see that the company has elected to limit their candidate pool by putting a lame qualifier like, "a degree from a top-tier university," I don't waste my time. It shows that the company is more concerned with how their employees are perceived than what they can accomplish. Pass.
I sometimes have similar reservations about companies that list arbitrary experience requirements too, especially when they're clearly just going off some industry norm. That's just me tho. YMMV.

That's not to say Yammer's a bad idea. Just a poorly executed one. A better business model would have been to whitelabel a script or produce an appliance that companies could run on their own. Both would sell.
I wouldn't expect the iPhone to ever assume a POS type feature set. However, I did find it interesting Apple was using MSFT IP in such an obviously customer facing role.
