Lots of nerd jealousy exhibits itself via downvoting. I'm sure it's based on insiders and outsiders. I'm also sure many try to repress ideas that might be competitive to their own. I've seen this happen and this is repulsive. Change needs to happen on HN.
I'm waiting for them to release correlated charts too. It's a good idea and I even offered to help in the area of chart data. But they'll need someone else to offer help in the UI area. That being said, the data at least is amazing.
Thinking about building a similar system. I saw that cymetica post today and did the comparisons and dug deeper to find that Google or Yahoo finance do an extremely bad job at finding public companies. Going with the data, how about you?
