Also similar - our Tesla Solar stopped producing (again). 3 week wait for service tech. In the meantime I had Claude probe the inverter, find endpoints for retrieving status, re-setting AFCI and Modbus TCP (for HA monitoring), etc. Claude was able to obtain installer mode access through a review the javascript bundle. I had Claude turn all this into an iOS app, which I used to gather data to diagnose the issue over the next week. Had Claude summarize the findings into a PDF that I provided to the Tesla Solar service rep, which in the words of said rep was very helpful.

Backup Amazon RDS Databases in FOUR simple commands:

1. docker run -it ghcr.io/dbsnapper/dbsnapper:latest /bin/bash

2. dbsnapper config init

3. dbsnapper auth token <YOUR_DBSNAPPER_CLOUD_AUTH_TOKEN>

4. dbsnapper build amazon-rds-postgres

Eliminates time spent setting up environments, installing tools, and other overhead often required when creating database snapshots.

I added the pricing to the homepage, but also willing to discuss a custom arrangement as well. Right now you can use the Agent in standalone mode for free. I may choose to limit some of the features in the future but for now, I'd love for anyone to try it out and give feedback.

Star them and import into Omnivore / Obsidian if they're really important to something I'm working on, in which case I'll reference the repo in the project notes.

I will be adding that today, but the DBSnapper cloud is billed per month / per user. I'm also open to exploring a site licensing agreement that would work for you / your team.

Get in touch: [email protected] if you want to discuss!

Hi Peter,

It's closed-source / proprietary at the moment, but I'm highly considering opening parts / all of it up as a golang library at a minimum, or do a free/pro version to support development. Any thoughts, suggestions?

I'm about to release v.2.0 of [DBSnapper](https://dbsnapper.com) which includes the subsetting feature. Works with Postgres and MySQL.

I have a prelease build (v2.0.0-alpha) available at https://github.com/dbsnapper/dbsnapper/releases

And I'm updating the documentation for v2.0.0 in real-time https://docs.dbsnapper.com. The new configuration is there, but I have some work to do adding docs for the new features.

Works with Mac and Linux (Windows soon)

If you're interested in giving the alpha a try, I'd love feedback and can walk you through any issues you might encounter.

Joe

I've been thinking about this as well. As climate change affects the distribution of potable water on the planet, it would seem prudent to start installing solar backed desalination and water pipelines to ensure water security for areas at risk.

Now I'm no hydrologist, and haven't researched this idea deeply yet, so don't know second and third order effects (i.e. brine disposal mentioned above, and of course the economics of such a venture.) It seems at some point our collective hands may be forced and we may have to do something that doesn't make a profit, yet sustains humanity as a going concern.

Finally, the fact that we haven't "terraformed" in this fashion drought-stricken places like Africa or elsewhere is a pity. But yes, economics, profit, geopolitics, power struggles, I get it.

The PostgreSQL pg_restore utility is used to restore a point-in-time database backup, also known as a database snapshot created by the pg_dump utility. In this guide, we will dive into how pg_restore works and the different ways it can be used, depending on your needs.

As we anticipate the tech downturn to persist into 2024, efficiency becomes more crucial than ever for startups. By making smart, cost-effective decisions such as opting for a Fractional CTO, startups can avoid the risks of going it alone and position themselves for growth when the market rebounds.

As a trusted partner in suppression list management, SupMonster has helped support teams across the globe ensure that no customer gets left behind due to accidental email unsubscribes. But why stop there? Our conversations with you have highlighted another crucial area where support teams need reinforcement: processing customer refunds.

SupMonster allows customer support teams to view email suppression lists across multiple email platforms and add or remove affected customer emails as needed. Missing email problems can be diagnosed and resolved as soon as they arrive, without the need to have developers involved.
