Even if it was 300$ it would still be a terrible phone. It's extremely inefficient and battery life is hilariously bad, the device itself is advertised as an extremely secure device but it is actually not secure at all, you can't even easily update the modem firmware. The company itself has a history of lying and their CEO is a habitual liar. The PinePhone, while not secure either, provides basically the exact same thing at a fraction of the cost (150$) and slightly weaker specs. Pine64 is now making a PinePhone Pro which is significantly faster than the Librem 5 at a fraction of the cost so why even bother with Purism at all?
