I’m not so sure about this, which is not so say i’m arguing FOR the leap. But, intuitively, there is an absolute massive leap in terms of perceived intelligence among humans, let alone with chimps. It seems some of the magic sauce for passing a turing test is, evolutionarily speaking, rather small.
