Why not resource limit the whole web page? Make it a standard that you have to manually accept a large download, sound, high fps etc like you do for GPS location, camera, etc.
As a "C#" developer you might use Powershell, SQL, JS, Typescript and other "ancillary" languages to get the job done but you still might think of yourself as a single language programmer.
Arguably for the same reasons though it would be hard to avoid centralization on a public chain where there is reward. For private chains this may be possible to choose such parties that you can trust that the chain is 'decentralized enough'
When all the exchanges have KYC then it will be hard to hide from the law with Bitcoin. For example you buy $1000 of bitcoin on localbitcoins. But that guy is just a trader who buys them from an exchange. You do something nefarious with the BTC and they trace it back to an exchange transaction, to the seller who gives you up.
