Seems like it would be but in my (limited) experience watching NFL games the announcers just call them iPads anyway. Then they or their co commentator corrects themselves with the sponsor friendly Brand Name.
I just blacklist the device driver for my integrated mic & webcam in Windows with group policies. Good luck monitoring me with a mic that the OS doesn't even recognize.
I ever want to record anything I have an actual mic and audio interface that I use that I can unplug when not in use.
I'd do a password manager and a VPN provider. Then spend a ton of money on ads on podcasts and youtube videos (which is odd since neither VPN hosting nor password managers make enough money to pay for that many ads).
They'd probably all have a similar catchy name. Maybe one that implies that it's from a foreign country known for having more consumer protections but is actually based 10 minutes outside of Langley Virginia.
Firefox the browser is great. The developers are great. Pretty much everyone else at mozilla (the execs, marketing, and the graphic designers that feel the need to reinvent some minor part of the wheel every 3-5 years to justify their existence) can all pound sand.
Someone needs to do to Firefox what Firefox did to Netscape, except this time instead of ditching a legacy codebase they need to ditch their woeful corporate leadership.
Brave browser is literally an intelligence gathering honeypot funded by the guy who created a big data analytics company with an extensive history of working with intelligence services [1].
But yeah. That darn google being the default search provider is very troubling.
I eventually settled on CursorSense to fix this because nothing else I tried actually fixed it. Sucks to have to pay $10 to fix something that is a basic OS setting on literally every other modern desktop OS.
Assuming you can trust them. All 3 of the major baseball card grading companies are being investigated by the feds for widespread fraud right now. Same companies also grade Pokemon & Magic the Gathering cards and there have been some high profile fakes of those (that were graded as authentic) highlighted recently as well.
Why anyone ever buys anything other than a ThinkPad (if you absolutely must go with Lenovo) I have no idea. Pretty much every other line of laptops they make is infamously bad, and has been for decades.
