The average is across _all_ males, even those outside of reproductive years. I assume if we controlled for outliers, that the results would be fairly comparable across time.
Not sure why they waited so long. Seems like a simple thing to do to help erode Putin's power base.

Huh, I thought my experience was kind of rare.
I found out my supervisor had about a ~10th grade reading level in English. Needless to say, I wasted a few years on my program before I switched advisors. Finished in less than a month with someone with an appropriate level of reading skill. So disgusted, I left the industry.
They can't be that smart if they're heading into the US now. Concerns about ICE hunting down "furiners" should be enough to give them pause; Especially those that are part of a visible minority.
Predicted for years, perhaps approach 50 since initial climate change predictors were first observed and codified.
Also, the most vulnerable with access to the fewest resources always suffer the worst. Which is why the global South with reap most of the problems due to climate change caused by the North.

The Proleptic Wake:

Where "proleptic" is a real rhetorical/literary term meaning to anticipate something future as if already present. A wake that is happening before the death; Paraphrasing. And "anomie", Durkheim's term for the breakdown of social norms leaving people unmoored.
I also kind of like Doommaxxing, but I don't think that captures all of it.
If you need to heat things, this seems to be the way to go. And heating accounts for nearly half of global energy demand and is still mostly fossil-fueled (paraphrasing). This means that this puts a big dent in the need for fossil fuel to generate energy. And all without depending on Chinese materials. Note that this is in the very early stages of development; In software development terms, this appears to be in the "alpha" stage.
