It would be absurd to try to kill a machine learning algorithm that accurately predicts a racial difference in recidivism or default rates from non-racial data using kindness. Similarly it is absurd to try and convince racist people who aren't bottom of the barrel scum like those featured in these articles to renounce their views by being a visible outlier.
