False dichotomy much? It doesn't have to be a motivated state actor pulling the strings from the begging. It could also just be some guy, who decided he didn't care anymore and either wanted to burn something or got paid by someone (possibly a state actor) to do this.

Yes, there is a nostalgia factor, but the twist of fate is that it is nostalgia for things I never had. I was never on myspace or geocities or my regional equivalent skyblog. And yet I am nostalgic for it, because the current modern alternatives are profiles on social media.

This is a major depressive thought of mine; that computers and the internet started as this wild west in which capitalism didn't have a hold, because information that can be infinitely copied cannot have value, but capitalism being extremely adaptive at infecting everything and anything turned it into bland corporate soup, and will continue to do so until every personal terminal is a dumb remote access screen that streams rendered frames from The Cloud and it won't even be a general-purpose computer anymore, much less be capable of running what you want.

Today I'm 25, which puts me at older gen Z, younger millennial, which should have given me the experiences of the time when I was a teenager or kid, but by some cruel twist of fate, I keep discovering things from that time that I wasn't aware of that I still think are incredible as concepts, but make no sense in the modern world beyond being toys.

Off-site backups is a huge one. General downloads for the people running *arr software, and corresponding upload for people sharing their Plex libraries.

Here in france, I get 5Gb/700Mb for 50€ and there isn't a lower tier at the same ISP. Other ISPs would simply sell me 1Gb/700Mb for the same price, with no lower tier other than aDSL. Not that I'm complaining, but if I'm getting 5Gb, buying a router for 150€ that hits barely 1/5th of that speed (the maximum on wired this board can do is 1Gb, and I don't even have all my devices on 5GHz wifi) isn't exactly a good experience.

The picture isn't of the planned board, I'm pretty sure it's just a picture of a banana pi r4. The proposed board has no SFP, for starters.

At 150€, the banana pi r4 is available for not much more and has several nice to have feature not planned on this board.

Isn't the omnia like $350? For me that's prohibitively expensive to spend on a router, whereas the projected $100 price point here is much more palatable (I probably still won't be buying it because I need SFP, but if not I would consider it)

I'm not so confident either, especially when you consider than whatever input the NN gets is probably downscaled to hell from however many gigapixels the sensor has, otherwise good luck running it on a phone with 8GB of ram.

Yeah for that price only people who think having an electric bike is beneath them are going to buy that

There's a really well-made ansible playbook that deploys synapse and pretty much anything you would ever want for you, highly recommend it

Seconded, was a breeze. The docs can appear unclear but if you do exactly what is there it works like a charm.

See also: trackmania pro times being driven in slow motion, despite the guys being actually really good in normal speed (verifiably, on stream)

I'm still salty that the super trackmaster campaign from tm turbo includes times cheated by riolu!.
