Why would you expect the concept of kinetic energy to be intuitive? Where would an intuition for a mathematical invention come from? It is a name for a useful mathematical relationship. Are negative or imaginary numbers intuitive, even when you understand how they function?

1. Most of them probably are shareholders, 2. people "vote with their feet" all the time. You don't think losing large numbers of difficult-to-replace employees would put pressure on leadership? (edited for grammar)

I believe moral opposition to child labor is a widely held view, and that most politicians, if pressed, would be in favor of writing laws to eliminate it. There are many reasons that pressure isn't applied, but it being a culturally abnormal view isn't one of them.

This is true of methods that don't require you to leave the house as well. Internet forums of all types are dominated by frequent users (by definition). People who are doing other things (working, raising families, living with disabilities that make participation difficult) are under-represented. Most of us just want someone with culturally normal values and competency to take care business. Many democratic systems do not select for people with culturally normal values and competency, unfortunately.

Agreed. I'm not sure how it happened, but it feels like we've experienced a societal shift where a large number of people now expect and wait for other people to create nicely packaged solutions to their (real or imagined) problems. From social apps to medicine to play dates to curated vacations, too many people are unwilling to face "the great unknown" that is just going out and seeing what happens, warts and all. Somehow the ability of boomers to make conversation with strangers has become a meme instead of a norm - they're good at it because they practice it.

There's a non-obvious, but significant, difference between holding with a thumb in a neutral position and holding with a pinky in a stretched position. Layers become effortless on a keyboard like this.

That's a misleading summary. Only true for a short term trial of a few, abnormal people in abnormal dietary circumstances

The algorithm values content more over information. Good information is expensive. When's the last time you paid money for content on the internet?

Thank you for pointing this out. I don't get why you'd do anything more than add a pinch to your cup and pour hot water on it. Not to mention then you can read your tea leaves and know if you're going to die or not.

The other piece of this is that there are a wide variety of safety razor blades. You should get a variety pack if you make the switch until you find what works best. Some are very sharp (which actually isn't always good), some less so. Some are more flexible than others. You need to find one that fits your skin and hair.

The difference between that and atheism is using a capital G.

This. There's a reason the number 0 was only invented a couple of times. Human minds don't do well with the idea of nothing. It's not that there was nothing here - it's that there was no here.
