Personally, I've considered the problem to be a long term one and fixing it as a possible silver lining. I have to admit that I'm a bit of a pessimist about the integrity of the American people. I was wrong about what would happen with the first Black President, I was sure the racism was going to have a silver lining of cutting down the POTUS and not allowing a show like this. But the POTUS office is still the reason the US will kill itself at a minimum. (Nothing good can go unpunished?)

Sounds like airline bills.. I don't really see how that has worked out for them.

I like even less how they use slander lawsuit settlements to achieve bribes. I imagine it would be hard for anyone else who would have to counter evidence that they raped their ex-wife to sue people because more recent sex crimes were not rapes.

I can't imagine someone as rich as Bezos doesn't have expensive advisors who have told him the patterns suggest that his best move for his businesses is to at least fake that he can get in a testosterone war with Trump through his paper.. So the likely explanations for why he hasn't that I can think of are not kind.

The minimum to cause change is judges expending more effort on imprisoning law enforcement agents for perjury.

True, but rare disease treatments have little to do with artificial hearts, they are a treatment for a very common disease but at an impractical state for most candidates.

If a modern US election went far outside that that would just mean some fool was burning a huge amount of money and probably to no purpose as it would cause a response from donors on the other side who would like an outcome but also aren't going to throw money away.
