Shameless plug: as it is hard to switch search engines as "googling" is nearly hardcoded into our fingertips and I wanted to move away to chatgpt search - I coded https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/comparative-chatgpt...
basically: 1 Search from the Adressbar in Chrome triggers three searches: ChatGPT Search, Google and Perplexity.ai
after install you can configure the behaviour under search.franzai.com to any order or search engines you like
the tos can be found here search.franzai.com/tos.html as due to extension restrictions for setting the default search engine the first request goes through search.franzai.com

If you use a Mac then start using the ChatGptApp and the shortcut Option + Space keys to do all your search on ChatGpt. You will quickly forget about Google.

Bing having AI chat is the one thing that means I occasionally use it.
Brave Search has an AI chat too and I think Brave collects less data than Bing does.
Bing also has a button labeled "Deep search" which takes a few extra seconds but the quality of results goes up dramatically if you are searching for a specific thing.
