Friendlyjordies can rub people the wrong way and in the past has definitely acted like a bit of a gronk but I've always been so impressed with conviction and bravery when taking on issues in Australian politics and media, NSW is a bit fucked
If you mean for personal use? I tried various note taking apps before I settled on Joplin.
I like that its open source and has a community that is helpful and people are always wrting extensions for it. Also the cross device syncing works really well with dropbox and I was already using that service.
Its not perfect but I much preferred it something like notion personally which felt overkill in terms of power/features, fiddly and had an awful mobile experience
Sounds insignificant compared to some of the things I'm reading here but I regret not participating in sports as much as I should have when I was in school.
Think it would have had a huge affect on my social skills, fitness and overall mental and physical health
Write about yourself and what you know, its probably the most interesting thing you could write about anyway.
I've been preparing articles for my future blog about my interests and struggles (security, beer, books, mental health). Weird mix but theres no doubt that its more interesting than me trying to force myself to write on one of them consistently
>In addition to that, America is a country that works forwards from principles much more often than European nations, which very often work backwards from objectives.
Have any examples to back this up?
I dont even necessarily disagree with your original argument, but can we get away from the Europe vs America debate that always pops up on this board as if they can be compared in a reasonable way? Europe is made up of a bunch of independent countries alot of which have objectives and principles that conflict with other entities within Europe, let alone outside of it
100% agreed, the issue I have with Keto and other related fashionable diets is that for the majority of people who attempt they aren't necessary to what they are trying to achieve and like you say, born out of poor relationship to food and health.
As someone who has also tried a lot of different diets and training plans to me the most sane approach to weight loss is still moderation with calorie/macro tracking which is far simpler to implement, not restrictive and personally, more enjoyable.
I have the opposite problem, I share the name with someone else working in the tech field who is academically and professionally my senior.
I frequently get emails and phone calls from recruiters offering positions with a salary up to 200k more than I'm expecting at my level because they think I teach at Stanford
