Honestly it sounds like this is as much about steep competition as it is about the decline of crypto, there are already strong embedded players in the industry and Intel came pretty late
Intel came to the foundry business late too, but that hasn't stopped them from dumping billions into trying to compete with TSMC and Samsung
Another intel product I never heard of because they sell too many bloody CPUs at the same time...
Surprised they ever even had this. They should be ashamed in any case.
Ashamed of what?
Of participating and profiting off a pointless destruction of the environment via an endless competition to waste as much electricity as possible.
This is about chips for Bitcoin mining, not video games.
So like, all of everything we do in modern society.
No. There are no similarities between bitcoin and "everything else". We can have decentralized money without the need of a county's energy consumption.
No, everything else competes to be more efficient. PoW is one thing broken by design that can never be optimized.
Even if your civilisation had a Dyson Sphere, there would be a race to waste 51% of it on PoW.

Of unable to complete with ASIC chips designed by Chinese companies.
