About three years ago a buddy of mine suggested that listening to course lectures or general podcasts/audiobooks/Youtube tutorials saved him a massive amount of time counted in hours by simply putting the playback speed of everything he listened to as high as he could muster. At least 1.5x for Youtube videos, often time he listens to podcasts and books in 2x. I argued that this is tantamount to speed reading and that he’s losing half the comprehension anyway, may as well slow it. I’ve tried it and believe it’s about as successful as speed reading.
I hate all ads. I will go to any length to block all ads. I will avoid buying any products by any company that serves web ads. I can’t stand folks who shill for the good of advertising.
Marvel movies are all a prime example of the “all filler” garbage remake movies with sequel after sequel, advertising to you and fulfilling the lowest common denominator. Marvel movies are trash. All the phony superhero movies are made distractions for grown men to act like kids with superhero figures. They all are getting political, I can’t believe how duped they have “critical thinking” “hackers.”
I’ve gotten to the point with ads where I absolutely refuse to be subjected to a single ad. I don’t care whatsoever about any websites or companies making a single cent on forcing advertising on my precious mental resources. I will block all ads and steal all content and torrent everything. It’s amazing never having seen a television commercial the past 5+ years. Plus, I make strong efforts to even avoid buying anything at all from an ad once I’ve been subjected to their marketing. I hope it continues to spiral this way.
Exactly. I’ve flown maybe a total of 25-30 flights and don’t fly too often, still I have never once had to have something confiscated because I didn’t attempt to take the stuff on trip in the first place. Worst Ive done is throw out a water/drink that I couldn’t take through security. You people that have to remove things from your bags hold everybody up and cost everyone more money. Read the rules. Pack accordingly.
You seem to know the answer but are you currently in Africa doing anything? Do you sit there and post from a computer/phone/ use these companies services? Magic is all you’re speaking. Social media virtue signaling while you are not solving the problem. Arguing just to argue. If it was so simple as just hop on a plane and/or just don’t buy from there then the companies worth billions would have already done that.
I maintain some medium-sized TG channels and constantly have what we have deemed “surveillance” accounts join daily. One of the admins of the chan implemented a simple turing test bot which requires immediate 60 sec solving of a basic math equation or the account gets kicked. They were solving the “click this button to verify” but none at all seemingly know how to solve 6+4, or they can’t read English quickly enough.
Bicycles are not to be ridden on sidewalks, which are for walking. You should promptly brace yourself and stiff arm said cyclist in the throat in joust. Bicycles are road legal vehicles.
