And abides.

This was fixed long ago, if I'm thinking of the same bug. It was stuck in an inf loop all the time the codex window was open.

When you paste youtube (or instagram) links, it's good practice to remove the doxxing share link identifiers (?si and everything past it)

As the base is an auto-regressive model that is capable of generating more or less any kind of text, it kind of makes sense though. It always has the capabilities, but you might want it to emulate a stupid analysis as well. So you're leading in with a text that describes what the rest of the text will be in a pretty real sense.

The router that routes the tokens between the "experts" is part of the training itself as well. The name MoE is really not a good acronym as it makes people believe it's on a more coarse level and that each of the experts somehow is trained by different corpus etc. But what do I know, there are new archs every week and someone might have done a MoE differently.

We had proper licenses for all PADS seats at my previous work, but all the users always installed the cracked versions because it was unusable with the dongle.

The ChatControl2.0 proposal was put forth by Ylva Johansson who is from the left in Sweden. She literally says "But think of the children" in every interview she made after this. There has been many accusations of corruption, for example the council was in contact with the AI companies that stand to gain from getting this in law.

I don't like mass-surveillance or "dragnets" which are actually considered unconstitutional in the US (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragnet_(policing) ), where you make an extraordinary amount of people suspects in order to catch a single suspect.

In medicine there is a number called NNT (Number Needed to Treat) which is a really good comparision to this. It's how many you have to treat with a medicine or procedure in order to help one patient. If that number goes up too large it's a bad sign, like if you would have to feed 1 million people a pill every day to avoid 1 heart attack per year.

Here you have mass surveillance and an incredible breach of privacy of 500M citizens, in order to catch how many pedos? If they would even be caught by this at all to start with.

I can't know if you've actually used these tools, but it requires a pretty high level of creative mind to get them to produce the content you're looking for. Maybe you as a user of an LLM you don't need to be creative in the writing of words for example, but you instead need to be creative in how you control the tools and pick the right outputs, feed it back, copy/paste/cut it, change stuff, extend it.. and the same with the image generators. There's a HUGE amount of creative accessories around them to manipulate and steer the process. There might be less creativity needed with the pen, but it's needed in other ways.

But I'm genuinely curious, why would the bigwig CEOs buy this if they didn't buy the Quest 2 or other previous headsets that could do the same things? You could do the cinema and virtual desktop and zoom calls with the Quest. Why is the market much larger for the Apple headset compared to the others? Except for the initial hype of "I need this new apple device" I mean.

The other headset manufacturers have been searching for the killer apps for years, both in gaming and pro usages, both with AR and VR. I didn't see anything in the Apple presentation that was new. It seemed contrived, like this woman who accidentally had the big headset on her head while she was packing a bag and therefore could take a call that hovers in the air. I just don't buy that (and neither does the various YT influencers I've seen reviewing the Vision Pro).

The "look at the search bar and speak" was pretty cool even if it's simple. Eyetracking is not available on most other VR headsets yet

In Sweden, salaries are 100% deductible. You pay company taxes on the profit you make. There is an option to capitalize some R&D expenses if you can show that they are directly responsible for a future asset that you can set a value on (like, a startup where all engineers work on a single product).

While not directly related to these magnetic strands, but regarding superstructure, compare with the latest 2.1 trillion body simulation of a universe formation, mapped as well as possible to the observed universe properties:

described at http://skiesanduniverses.org/Simulations/Uchuu/

That's another kind of superstructure, the dark-matter-guided scaffold of galaxy formation in the observable universe volume.

I went through this when setting up wlan in a new office some years ago, looked at roaming APs etc.. finally I just bought 4 consumer Asus routers on the same SSID, worked fine for all our purposes at least.

Everybody feels confident in the stack they have spent time using.. You like Kubernetes because you took the time to learn it, someone else will find Elastic Beanstalk or AWS ECS equally easy to setup and scale. It's not that Docker is the only way to deploy an application either, there are virtues of learning the serverless deployment modes as well on the various clouds. For many of the "proprietary lock-ins" you run into, you often get something back.

I do agree in point that kubernetes and Docker are nice of course :)

Just get a time machine, put on your wifi and you don't have to think about it anymore, it will just backup every day in the background. You can easily restore into another macbook using the builtin restore functionality. Apples solution to this is really good (still struggling to do it with the same ease with Windows without 3rd party software and Linux).
