Probably worth bearing in mind: I seriously doubt many of the people they interacted with had _any conscious bias whatsoever_. I mean, explicit misogynists exist, but most of us just make judgements on incomplete information, sometimes badly.
I wonder if a female name with the same words attached would be met much differently? Maybe they responded to the personality, not the gender.
I think I would, without any malice, relate more closely to someone who was a tech type rather than a business/sales type, regardless of gender.

Is this a form of wire fraud or would I be able to do this too? Just make up a human and conduct business through them.
All we need now is Male Co-Founder as a Service.
To make him even more manly, they called him Keith MANN.
"2 men invented fake female Global Head of Sales say acting through her was 'night and day.'"
I'm not arguing that's right. Is the reversal upsetting?
Also, HN bot idea: automatically reverse the gender in headlines.
