Is there like a pest exterminator you can call, or...? "Hey, we have a Marissa Mayer infestation can you get her out by the weekend?"
Seriously, though - it's a shame that she's given so much press constantly; there are so many brilliant people in the tech space more deserving of the spotlight.

> We have some ideas in the consumer space. So I’ve been meeting with different founders and just seeing what’s happening in the industry.
This is so foreign to me, it's the height of privilege; "Meh, I don't really have any ideas, but I'm going to rent and office and create a company and we'll figure something out later". Who does this? Does Marissa just like working in an office, purpose be damned? How the hell do you put all this money on the line with no goal or motivation?

She's super wealthy. Its likely that her money people suggested she have office space and expenses instead of doing business deals or meeting with people at one of her homes.
This is an article about how Marissa Mayer.... isn't doing anything, but still exists.
Highlights include... she rented office space.
It seriously reads like the New York Times is required to print a quarterly piece on Marissa Mayer, even if it has no news value, and she hasn't done anything particularly interesting.

Something has to be the "noise" in the signal/noise ratio of any medium.
I'm impressed this not only cracked the NYT but HN. What's the value of discussing Mayer's non-moves?

Here lies the tale of Marissa Mayer.
> We managed to get press hits in almost every publication we wanted, but we never managed to crack the print edition of the Times.
If anything can be said to have "cracked" the NYT, this insubstantial puff piece should qualify. Not sure if it's in the print edition, though.
