Did you know that 100,000 people with a flat mirror 1 meter square, mounted on a simple polar mount. calibrated with a fixed star and with a simple servo controller can create a 'hot box' in the air that will track this sign and increase it's internal temperature to the fail point.
This will also work on the sky swarm put up by starlink.
Requires a sunny day and the polar mount and the servo driven worm gear - the lot should be under $50.
100,000 mirrors converging, even with beam spread, and in the same area should do it. East coast and West coast mirrors are too far apart as the low orbit satellites will be below the horizon for divergent stations. at the same time. With the right software a wave of mirrors could keep the birds illuminated until they fail with the heat. The same distributed heat could damage many farther away satellites as well.
I would join a crowd source to fund this.
So would I, hopefully it will alert someone with the tech smarts to do the basic design and make it go, and we may see it one day...
I think Kessler syndrome is a worse long-term problem for humanity than advertising is. I don't think humanity should damage/destroy/render inoperable any satellites other than military/spy satellites unless we do so by deorbiting them.

It would only be one ad platform for about 15 minutes. After the first ad goes up, competitors would do whatever it takes to put up a competing ad. It would begin one of the most awful chapters of history - one that would never end. Just get worse as more and more ads go up.

You won't be able to see it with the naked eye. Hell, it's not easy to spot the ISS even with a telescope/app.
