I agree that the whole industry smells like a bubble, but these guys were high execs at Microsoft prior to that, maybe they just leveraged the investing landscape and still have some reason? idk
Do you mind beaming me up on what's happening/happened with Clubhouse? I know what the app is about not much clued into the fortunes of the company.
There was always a sense of investing in a-yet-unproven business model or technology but what seems to have happened over the past few years is less of a focus on technological advantages and more on a "Set the valuation high since even a brick will float in this market" approach.
Lots of easy money. . .competition from alternative investment assets such as Crypto seem to be pushing traditional venture capital to desperate measures to justify their existence.
