This article feels designed to insight flame wars. Is this really something we want on HN?
You are correct. the author clearly missed the mark with their lack of a DEI statement. We should file a complaint with the Thought Police, then start a social media campaign to ruin his career.
Letter from a “prominent” medical school professor:
“..This is affecting clinical medicine. It is the death spiral of American medicine, with unintended consequences for the very groups it is supposed to help..”
Seems like an extremely important — if difficult —topic

How so? I think people can discuss to what extent their experiences align with what's described here.
Wikipedia says of Quillette:
Described as libertarian-leaning, Politico and Vox reported that Quillette has been associated with the "intellectual dark web", a term used, according to Politico, to describe "a loose cadre of academics, journalists and tech entrepreneurs who view themselves as standing up to the knee-jerk left-leaning politics of academia and the media.
So yours is a totally fair question.
If this is indeed a topic worth debating, then there must be better sources.
