I am finishing my PhD in computational biomechanics and looking for advice for my future. I hesitate about continuing with:
* a postdoc abroad (+ pleasant experience | - delaying the real life, I don't want to stay in academia forever)
* working in a startup abroad (+ experience to create my startup | - abroad experience should last max two years)
* creating a startup (+ my final goal | - I have a lot of ideas to test, not abroad)
* working as a VC analyst (+ interesting to work near startups and analyze | - not my primary expertise)
* working in a big company abroad (+ experience | - then work in a startup is more complex)
I am not a focused expert but an engineer with experience with FE simulations, lab testing, mechanical design, data science, and ML.
Can you share your experience after your PhD or simply what you think?
Thanks!
Ps: abroad would be for me, North America and the UK
