Ask HN: If you can program computers in the afterlife, would you?
What apps/games/tools would you build? How long would you spend building an app?

You are making a typical overgeneralisation (or lack of consciousness) error thinking about "afterlife" as if it were any other object you're used to think of, thus making half of the question ill-formulated.
I suppose if I have eternity to play with it's hard to rule out.
I'm thinking about converting to being Amish to escape computers in the current life. The last thing I want is to spend the afterlife messing with computers. I've had my fill of mismatched libraries, opaque error messages, arcane compiler output, bizarre Maven problems, grotesque Gradle garbage, complex C++ complaints, mundane Make malfeasance, befuddling Macintoshes, loopy Linux, and Windows in general.
Hard pass from me.
Hard pass from me.
Depends on what other options are available in "the afterlife". Program or burn in hell - sure I can do a bit of programming. Program or spend time on the beach in good company - I'll have to pass on the programming thing.
