Really cool! Did you go through Robert Lang's Origami Design Secrets? Lots of neat algorithms there. Also his free and open source desktop application TreeMaker for automating origami folds just like you have here.

Yes, I have his Design Secrets book, lots of great info there. It's more useful for apps like treeMaker and not a step by step type app I have. I haven't used treeMaker but looking at youtube videos, it's more for more complex designs and not for step by step play back.

Is this supposed to animate? Just snaps through steps for me on Mac Chrome

I use Mac Chrome too. It happens when my system is slowed down with too much things running. It should run fine when you free up more cpu/memory resources.
