Absolutely agree, although from a business perspective it is a good strategic move, it just kills innovation—especially for users that DO want to try out cool features or new products. Like, I can't even give MY OWN data to a service that could help me?
Would love to hear your guy's thoughts on this. And again, excuse my language in the document.
Reddit went extreme on that, cut the API access at all to crack down on AI providers who were trying to train their data on comments and posts posted by people.
I find it crazy how these services treat their users' data as their personal belongings.
