Though those fish weren't bred in space it seems. The quails at least hatched from eggs. They had increased rates of deformity. The big question is how humans born on Mars (38% of Earth gravity) would fare.
Is water harvested on Mars habitable for fish? If not, bringing such large volume of water to orbit and/or Mars could be too costly.

And they taste good. So maybe fish will beat birds to space habitats and astronauts will live in a hollow inside of large aquariums.
