ChatGPT can't output certain names, anyone has any idea why this happens?
it can't say Jonathan Zittrain or david mayer for some reason no matter how you try to make him do it, if you try the API version it works but other than that you always get " I'm unable to produce a response. "
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

This article[0] has some good possible reasons. It concludes by saying that OpenAI hasn't given a reason. I predict they won't. Nor will they ever speak to any specific moderation decision or the behavior of the filtering tools (and other controls) that run on the API before you get to it. It would be antithetical to their business model to discuss any of that.

One must remember that it's scope is worldwide. It does not make funny pictures of some local politicians while others it would. Names mean nothing in some other country.
For example it happily makes "Mannerheim on the moon"
ChatGPT said: I cannot generate an image featuring Mussolini due to ethical considerations. However, I can create a whimsical image of a fictional figure or an anonymous astronaut on the moon with a theme that aligns with your concept. Let me know how you'd like to proceed!

I searched "Jonathan zittrain right to be forgotten" on a hunch. Guess he's actually a professor who published a book, "right to be forgotten".. It's a shame that US companies censor models based on EU rules.
Well, they don't have to in America, but obviously must in the EU. I think your complaint is the application of "one size fits all" which is done on economic grounds. But ultimately they do have a choice.

It happens because when you use ChatGPT you agree to terms of service that allow them to degrade your experience as much as they want.
