This reminds me of when a friend saw that someone had Liked something he had posted online, and he wanted to Like the Like. There was no interface to do that, so he was "reduced" to merely liking it in reality.
People in the comments are haters don’t listen to them. Keep going
Is "loop" a common term for... whatever it's used for here?
Anyway, this looks like it might be a fun way to gamify TODO lists. Would be interesting to see some output after some goals have been achieved. Screenshots of the web UI maybe?

The context for "open loops" here is David Allen's "Getting Things Done" or GTD. A commitment that your brain is still holding onto because you haven’t clarified what it means or what to do about it.
A nice summary: https://hamberg.no/gtd/
I also enjoy Getting Things Done Fast, which is a seminar recording. It gives a great high level overview, with many practical exercises throughout.
(Slightly hard to find these days, though.)

I guess it stands for gameplay loop, but I agree it reads weird.
I've seen to-do list apps that gameify your tasks and make it like an RPG. Does anyone actually use this stuff or benefit from it? It seems infantilizing
id use it, for people that find it hard to be "adults" its a fun hack to get projects rolling along.
woah, I am also working on CLIs these days. I know its kinda tricky, UI and all. But this looks interesting
i dont understand why you would use this. i think it needs more examples
