There is this country called Indonesia. It has the largest population of Muslims on earth, at 200+ million. Not one of them is banned from America. Only immigrants from countries with direct ties to terrorism are banned, temporarily.
Once gain, it has nothing to do with religion. It's geographical. You can be a Christian in Iraq, and you would be ban too.
Except it's not. Trump is just doing what Obama did in 2011, who banned refugees from Iraq and countries with direct ties to terrorism for six months, due to terrorism concerns.
>You mean the Affordable Care Act, the one that, once repealed, will put dozens of Americans I know into serious mortal peril?
But if not repeal, will leave me homeless, since I won't be able to pay the mortgage bill anymore.
Why do your friends get priority over me? Why do I have to lose my house so your friends can have health care? What about me? What about all those other people, left behind by Obama's presidency?
Well, we at least know what they did. They voted for Trump.
But he didn't attack Curiel. He said that Curiel may have an interest of conflict, you know, just like how people kept saying Trump's business may be a conflict of interest.
People are allowed to criticize Trump's conflict of interest, but Trump is not allow to their conflicts of interest?
This, again, is why Trump the U.S. election. People are tired of the cry-bullies trying to censor everyone.
And non-voters didn't vote. So they're just complaining but they didn't vote.
>In any case, your implict idea that public-to-elected-official interaction is limited to elections is contrary to the founding principles of this country.
Of course, Trump will try to Make America Great for all citizens, as shown by the policies. People can also work for his administration to influence his policies. People can also protest peacefully. People can engage with him on twitter, or directly through email. Etc. Etc.
If you haven't noticed before, Trump never attack/insult people first.
Trump only defend himself when other people attack/insult him.
For example, John Lewis attacked Trump's legitimacy, so he attacked Lewis's incompetence back.
All these people, they attacked Trump, and then they get angry that Trump attacked back.
When will they learn: Don't attack Trump and Trump won't attack you back. It's that simple. If you're going to dish it out, you better be ready to receive it too.
>Regardless, we have surveys showing the opinions of non-voters and Trump, at least a couple weeks ago, was at record levels of unpopularity among Presidents-elect.
They should have voted then. They didn't vote, and when the guy they don't like get voted into office, they get all angry. Well, they should have voted.
>...elected officials are compelled to and do respect the opinions of voters.
Trump does. He's going to implement his policies, since the voters have voted him to do so.
Good thing they're protesting peacefully, unlike those Anti-Trump inauguration protestors, who were burning and destroying properties (cars, Starbucks, etc.).
Yep, it's a problem, but what's Hong Kong gonna do? Hong Kong has no army. So what can it do?
China will just do as China pleases, because China have the military forces to back up it back.
