Just as an FYI: Apparently the Gimpshop website isn't owned by the developer and hasn't been for years. It's apparently riddled with adware and malware and isn't developed anymore.
Flux is still so much nicer than Windows 10's Night Light feature. Flux is gradual and has a transition over a few hours while Night Light has a transition over a few seconds.
Discord has been really good with their changelogs but their changelogs in app stores are not as good as the ones in the beta channels. I liked their transparency when they introduced tabs in their Android app.
And it didn’t help that the Windows Store back then was a store for UWP/Metro apps.
It also took a long time for Microsoft to actually tackle the issues that UWP/Metro and WinUI/XAML faced. It took so long, it doesn’t even matter anymore and even Microsoft has moved on. But there’s quite a bit of hypocrisy, with Microsoft telling others to use WinUI while not using it everywhere themselves while refusing to update the styles of other design frameworks.
As one of those younger users, I still have an account on all of those and still use many. Instagram is from Facebook, Tumblr is from Yahoo which is owned by Verizon. A lot of funny content is taken from TikTok, Tumblr, Instagram, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook and more and reposted over and over through those platforms.
This is directly in response to "As we've seen with myspace, digg, etc., and as we're seeing with tumblr and also facebook now, younger, more tech-savy users have no issues with changing platforms.. from facebook to tumblr to snapchat to instagram to SomethingNew(TM)."
