I gotta say.. I have been railing against the Twitter tide for a couple of years now and have been against it for a long time but I am a convert.. Speaking from a dev perspective here is really is a stroke of genius software-wise... I know this is a weird thing to say but it's SEXY code, even.. I get excited thinking about how awesome it is! Call me a nerd if you will.
No offense but I feel like this should be said, and is a major problem in a lot of engineer companies: CEO's or Directors must do their own hiring & firing. Any company that is hiring their own boss is in for trouble because that person would have no real authority.
Is anyone else reminded of 3M by this? Also, Apple had Steve Jobs leave, company founder, then Jobs returned & Apple was swell. Similar situation. Maybe it's the grandpa in me but I feel like one gets a sense of that 'CEO feeling' at any company.. that is is why they're called the CEO.
